About Legacy Studios
Legacy Studios was created to foster the love of dance in all students. Amy DiMatteo and Laura Grundstrom grew up dancing at Scalzi School of Dance, where they both began their dance and dance teaching careers more than 25 years ago. In addition to teaching dance Miss Amy is a licensed Physical Therapist, and Miss Laura is a certified Yoga Kids and Adult Instructor.
Legacy Studios promotes a family-friendly environment where students get a well-rounded dance education focusing on developing a solid technical foundation, physical stamina, confidence, and self-esteem. Classes are offered in various dance styles for ages 2.5 years, our Tiny Tots and Mini Hoppers, through adults (Adult Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Yoga). Whether you are a recreational dancer who enjoys dancing with friends or a student focused on a more serious dance career, all will receive the individualized attention necessary to achieve their goals. At Legacy Studios, we believe dance is for everyone.
Our season runs from September to May, with our annual show at the beginning of May. We offer the opportunity to participate in one local Dance Competition for some of our Team Classes and provide opportunities throughout the year for classes to perform at various community events (i.e. Whoville Jubilee, Veterans Benefits, Faire on the Square, Waltham Day, and other events).
